Josephine Darko, MSN, PMHNP-BC, brings a wealth of experience to her role at Spectrum Behavioral Health. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, she has the skills and training to guide residents of New Lenox and Hinsdale, Illinois, toward more rewarding and fulfilling pathways.
Education has always shaped Josephine’s path. She began her studies in graphic arts, earning a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. Then, she focused on nursing, eventually completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Purdue University in Calumet, Indiana.
A Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, culminated in Josephine becoming a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She brings these skills to her work at Spectrum Behavioral Health.
Josephine has experience delivering inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services in acute and skilled care facilities. She educates patients and their loved ones to create a strong support network.
Patients enjoy working with Josephine because of her holistic approach, which recognizes and honors each individual’s spiritual and cultural beliefs along with mental and emotional strengths and challenges.
