Abigail Williams-Butler

Abigail Williams-Butler, MSW, MS, PhD, is a highly skilled therapist and an essential member of the Spectrum Behavioral Health team. Through her work with patients from New Lenox and Hinsdale, Illinois, Dr. Williams-Butler helps create positive change in the lives of those in her care. 

Education has always brought Dr. Williams-Butler great fulfillment. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign before completing a Master of Science in Developmental Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. 

Dr. Williams-Butler remained in Ann Arbor to complete her PhD at the University of Michigan’s joint program in Social Work and Developmental Psychology. Today, she remains dedicated to refining her skill set through ongoing education opportunities. 

When partnering with patients, Dr. Williams-Butler draws from several treatment modalities, including dialectical behavioral therapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and more. Her passion for culturally sensitive healing strives to deliver highly personalized care to people from all backgrounds and perspectives.
