Maya Gavin, LPC

At Spectrum Behavioral Health in New Lenox and Hinsdale, Illinois, patients have access to some of the most highly skilled mental health practitioners in the area, including Maya Gavin, MA, LPC, CADC. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Maya works closely with patients to effect positive change.

Education has always been a central area of focus for Maya. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies at the University of Iowa in Iowa City before earning her Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. 

Maya then completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, and continues seeking opportunities to expand her skills and knowledge.

Maya brings more than a decade of experience in crisis intervention to her work at Spectrum Behavioral Health. She understands the dynamic and often turbulent needs of people facing mental and emotional health challenges and addresses each patient in their stage with compassion and kindness.
